Agropolychim takes delivery of the first 30 tank wagons of its 100-unit rail fleet investment
As part of its ongoing investment in logistics infrastructure, Agropolychim has taken delivery of the first 30 ammonia tank wagons manufactured by Greenbrier. The full fleet will comprise 100 tank wagons, scheduled to be phased into operation by the end of 2025.
The tank wagons are equipped with advanced safety systems designed to meet the highest existing standards for the transport of hazardous goods. Each unit is fitted with Nexxiot tracking and monitoring technology, utilizing AI to process and analyze data. This enables more accurate planning and improved coordination between the plant and operators, ensuring greater efficiency in logistics management and secure delivery of supplies.
Fully compliant with current European regulations, including environmental and noise requirements, the tank wagons offer a payload capacity of approximately 50 tons each. This provides reliable transport capability for ammonia across both domestic and European markets.
The introduction of a proprietary rail fleet marks a significant step towards reducing dependency on external operators and increasing flexibility in managing transport operations.
This investment is aligned with Agropolychim’s long-term vision to establish itself as a regional logistics hub for low-carbon ammonia. By expanding its transport and storage infrastructure, the company aims to provide reliable, future-proof solutions for the supply and storage of this key product, serving both the chemical industry and the emerging energy sector.
