General information

NP 15:25 + 12 S inorganic complex fertilizer is a product obtained chemically by neutralization of extraction phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid with ammonia and subsequent granulation.

It is characterized by a homogeneous sturdy granule with a very good phosphorus solubility. The fertilizer is suitable for soils with a high content of mobile potassium and а low content of mobile sulfur.

NP 15:25 + 12 S is recommended for main, pre-sowing and in-sowing fertilization of cereals, oilseeds, legumes and perennial crops.

Nitrogen is contained as ammonia nitrogen and the rate of its uptake into the plant depends on the pH of the nutrient solution, the stage of plant development and the degree of carbohydrate availability. In the presence of phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen is absorbed more vigorously. Nitrogen is the nutrient with the strongest influence on crop growth and is most necessary in periods of rapid growth. These are the periods of tillering and jointing in cereals and the periods up to the booting stage of corn development.

Phosphorus is an indispensable element in all the processes in which it is involved. It plays a major role in energy transfers and is one of the components of adenosine triphosphate or ATP.

The main advantages of phosphorus in NP 15:25 + 12 S are the following:

  • it is essential for seed germination;
  • it is involved in photosynthetic processes;
  • it contributes to the synthesis of enzymes and proteins;
  • it is involved in all metabolic processes of the plant.

Potassium increases resistance to low temperatures, fungal diseases and lodging. This macroelement is responsible for the activation of enzymes supporting nitrogen metabolism. This increases the total protein and gluten content, thereby improving the quality of the resulting grain. Another advantage of potassium is that it strengthens crop resistance to drought.

Sulfur is the fourth macroelement in NP 15:25 + 12 S.  Sulfur is an important element for any crop because it plays a key role in the process of photosynthesis and composes protein. Sulfur is found in soil organic matter. It goes to the available form of sulfate when the soil microbiota processes plant residues and other organic matter. The activity of microorganisms depends on temperature, so the uptake and availability of organic sulfur to plants decreases in early spring when the soil is cold.

 Sulfur has a multifaceted effect on plants and helps to:

  • stimulate growth at an early stage of plant development by accelerating photosynthesis and root and seed system development;
  • increase yields and palatability;
  • increase the amount of nitrogen-fixing bacteria in legumes;
  • improve plant immunity and resistance to stress, diseases and pests;
  • absorb nitrogen and synthesize carbohydrates.

Advantages

  • Ensures more even nutrient uptake by plants;
  • Reduces the losses from wash-out and lift-off of nutrients;
  • Ensures maximum efficiency of invested funds;
  • Lower expenditures in single input into the soil.
