Agropolychim among the finalists at the Platts Global Energy Awards 2025 in New York
On December 11, 2025, Agropolychim took part in the final gala ceremony of the Platts Global Energy Awards 2025 in New York, having been nominated as one of the seven finalists in the Excellence in Energy – Chemicals category.
The Platts Global Energy Awards, widely regarded as among the most prestigious recognitions in the energy sector, honour companies from around the world for leadership, technological solutions and contributions to more sustainable development. In the Excellence in Energy – Chemicals category, the award this year was presented to the Danish company Topsoe.
Agropolychim’s nomination is linked to its investment in the full replacement of fossil fuels with agricultural biomass for process steam production. The implemented 31 MW installation enables an annual reduction of more than 80,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and supports the development of a circular economy through cooperation with local agricultural producers. The project was implemented without the use of subsidies.
Participation in the final selection of the Platts Global Energy Awards places Agropolychim alongside international companies from the chemical and energy industries and provides an opportunity for professional exchange and benchmarking against established global practices.
Agropolychim was represented at the ceremony in New York by Philippe Rombaut, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Dimitar Leksin, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer.
For Agropolychim, the nomination represents international recognition of the company’s consistent efforts toward modernization and reduction of its carbon footprint within the framework of the heavy chemical industry, and confirms the strategic direction of its ongoing investment projects.
