Agropolychim opens Its doors to future talent through a series of successful meetings with pupils and students
In November and December, Agropolychim and the companies within the Group hosted a series of events as part of the Open Doors Day initiative, welcoming pupils and university students from various educational institutions across Bulgaria. The meetings were aimed at young people with an interest in engineering, technological and economic professions and were designed to provide first-hand insight into a real industrial environment, modern production processes and career development opportunities within the Group.
Each visit followed a comprehensive programme, including an introductory briefing and mandatory safety induction, followed by guided tours of the production facilities, meetings with experts from different professional fields and opportunities for informal discussion. Transportation to and from the site, as well as lunch during the visits, was provided to all participants.
The first event took place on 19 November and brought together pupils and students from the Technical University of Varna and the Vocational High School of Computer Modelling and Computer Systems “Acad. Blagovest Sendov”. Representatives of engineering disciplines and pupils from the vocational school had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the production processes and the work of specialists from Agropolychim and Rimakem. The visit left a strong positive impression, highlighted by the professionalism, engagement and accessible manner in which the activities of both companies were presented. The feedback received confirmed the importance of such initiatives for career orientation and motivation of future professionals.
The second Open Doors Day was held on 28 November with the participation of students from Prof. Dr Assen Zlatarov University of Burgas, studying in fields related to chemical technologies, materials science, mechanical engineering and automation. During the visit, participants gained insight into the scale of production, the sustainable practices applied and the real challenges facing modern industry, while engaging directly with company experts.
The final event of the initiative took place on 12 December and was jointly hosted by Agropolychim and Grain Terminal Varna West. It welcomed pupils from the Varna School of Commerce “G. S. Rakovski”, studying Economics and Management, as well as representatives of the Technical University of Varna. The meeting broadened participants’ understanding of the industry not only from a technological perspective, but also from an economic and managerial standpoint, demonstrating how classroom knowledge is applied in a real industrial environment.
Across the three events, Agropolychim welcomed a total of 139 pupils and students, with the strong interest once again confirming the value of direct interaction between education and industry. The company will continue to work consistently towards building sustainable partnerships with educational institutions and encouraging young people to develop their potential within modern and responsible industrial production.
